Northwest Region Trail Conditions

General Northwest Vermont Trail Conditions

2/2/12
There is some fair to good riding in Lamoille County and in the high elevation areas in this corner of the state.  Trails in the valleys have little to no snow and a great deal of ice.  Stick to the high terrain and get in a good ride.  Watch for ice and other hazards as they are present in many locations.  We recommend checking with local clubs for the most informative trail reports.   Caution must be used!

Franklin County

2/2/12

Overall conditions are marginal with a lot of ice.  If you head out use extreme caution as there are many hazards along the trails.  Check back for updates.

Grand Isle County

2/2/12
Riding is not recommended at this time!

Lamoille County

2/2/12
Most of the trails throughout the county have been groomed this week and riding is being reported as fair to good in many areas.  There is the occasional "bony" area however if you head for the higher elevations the amount of snow cover gets better.  As always ride with caution as the conditions have varied significantly this year from one area to another.  Right now there is some riding in Lamoille County!
