Family TMA
Family Snowmobile TMA – All snowmobiles must be registered to the same person, and bear the same mailing address. The first and second TMAs will be priced at the full cost of a Resident or Non-Resident rate (Early Bird or Regular Season) TMA. All additional TMAs purchased by the same registered owner will be charged the advertised 'Family Rate.'
-
Does the same family members' name have to appear on all snowmobile registrations?
Yes, just because individuals have the same mailing address will not be the only criteria for issuing Family TMAs! The intent of the family TMA is to make it more affordable for families with younger children to enjoy the sport of snowmobiling; it is not to allow young working adults an opportunity to get a lower price.
-
Do all Family TMAs have to be purchased at the same place?
No, as long as the individual has proof of the other purchase(s) they may buy the Family TMAs from different clubs.
-
What if my name is on two registrations and my wife's name is on the third, will this qualify for a Family TMA?
No, VAST recommends that all family owned snowmobiles be registered with at least one common person as the owner or co-owner. This is recommended for legal reasons and it is a requirement for issuing Family TMAs.
-
Is it easy to add a co-owner's name to a snowmobile registration?
Yes, it is! It can be done at the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles in Montpelier (DMV); in addition, any VAST appointed snowmobile registration agent is able to complete the changes for you.
