Southwest Vermont Trail Conditions

General Southwest Vermont Trail Conditions

March 11th, 2010

Southern Vermont received A LOT of snow from last week's storm.  Clubs reported two to five feet of snow fell last week.  The majority of trails are open, however extreme caution should be exercised as heavy winds and ice have caused havoc on the trails.  There's downed trees and potential hazards on the trails, please take it slow.  Check with local clubs for the most detailed trail reports before you ride!

For local trail conditions:

Green Mountain Trail Blazers
Feeder trails 7F1,2,& 3 are closed to services on the VAST web site. There is not enough snow in valley to keep from tearing up the soft ground, some of which is land owner grass!

Woodford Sno Busters
Trail conditions are good in the Woodford Area.  Volunteer crews have been working tirelessly in clearing low hanging branches and downed trees from the 4-5 feet of snow that has fallen over the last couple of weeks.  Trail conditions will be best in the morning.
