Central Vermont Trail Conditions

General Central Vermont Trail Conditions

March 9th, 2010

Conditions in Central Vermont are not all that great at this time.  Many areas are closed in Washington County due to the lack of snow.  Trails on south facing slopes are bare and fields have minimal snow coverage.  There's limited riding in the Camel Hump and Cotton Brook Areas.  Please check with the local club in the area you plan on riding in before heading out on the trails.

Trails have little to no snow coverage in most of Washington County.  There's no access to services.

Note that trails in the Marshfield/Plainfield area are closed due to low snow conditions.  Gates have been closed and TRAIL CLOSED signs have been put in place.  Please obey the signs and do not ride in this area.  Corridor 2 from Plainfield to Lanesboro is open.

Trails in the Green Mountain Roamers area are closed:  this includes Waterbury and Middlesex.

There's limited riding just above the Mad River Valley in the higher elevations headed towards Camel's Hump and on the other side of the Little River State Park on the Cotton Brook side.
