General Statewide Trail Conditions

February 4th, 2010

Some of the trails in the high elevations that utilize summer roads in the Northeast Kingdom still have some good riding left if you want to trailer to these locations.  The groomers in these areas have been out and some small snow accumulations have been falling.  The warm spell did open up some ditches and water bars and create some crevices in the trails so please use caution while you ride.  You can also expect a great deal of ice as well as other hazards.  With some caution and common sense you can find some decent rides in the Northeast Kingdom and other high elevation areas.

Many clubs throughout the state are recommnding that riders stay off the trails and are not planning to groom until more snow is received.

We strongly suggest checking with local clubs before you ride as conditions are so variable across the state.

Lakes and other bodies of water may be unsafe to ride across.

Please check back for updates or check out the Trail Closures & Alerts page for new information regarding trail re-openings.

If You are one of our gracious landowners we greatly appreciate what you do for us.  Snowmobiling in Vermont would not exist without your generosity!
