Clubs, how & why to join

Any person who intends to ride on the VAST trail system must join a club. There are over 135 clubs to choose from and they are located throughout the state. Once you join a club, you may use any of the trails located throughout the state.

Each club holds monthly meetings, work bees, charity events and club events. Officers are elected and delegates are sent to the VAST Annual Meeting.

Club membership fees vary from club to club and range from $5 to $25. These fees are attached to the set cost of your TMA, whether it be as a Vermont Resident or Non-Resident. Your dues and registration fees support VAST's extensive grooming, maintenance and development of trails.

A complete list of the clubs according to Vermont county, and their membership chairperson's home phone number, are listed. Pick a club in the area that you think you will do most of your riding and give them a call!*

The clubs are also an excellent source of information for places to stay, where to eat and local trail conditions.

*The membership chairpeople are all volunteers and you may need to leave a message on their personal answering machines.
